- ABOUT CENTREMOVE
We Built the Company We Wished Existed When We Were Buying a House.
CentreMove exists because two people got fed up with the same three words: "we'll check." Buying or selling a home in Britain still runs on phone calls, favours and hope — and the people spending the most money in the transaction are usually the last to know what's actually happening with it. We thought that was mad. So we built something else.
Built from Real-World Experience
As a practising solicitor, CentreMove co-founder Gordon Sewell has seen first-hand how a lack of transparency can create unnecessary delays, confusion and costly disputes during the home-buying process. Too often, buyers and sellers are forced to rely on fragmented information, lengthy email chains and updates passed between multiple parties, rather than having direct access to the facts they need to make informed decisions.
Important questions about a property can take days to answer, while simple misunderstandings can quickly escalate into failed transactions, financial loss and avoidable disputes. CentreMove was created to tackle these challenges by putting accurate, real-time information directly into the hands of everyone involved.
“Buyers and sellers can run searches themselves, access the information directly, or contact the seller before making an offer, let alone paying a deposit. Instead of relying on information passed between others, buyers and sellers can see the same information for themselves and make informed decisions with confidence."
That principle sits at the heart of CentreMove: replacing uncertainty with transparency, giving every party access to the information they need from the very beginning, and helping property transactions progress with greater confidence and fewer avoidable problems.
What We Do
CentreMove gives buyers, sellers, estate agents, brokers and solicitors a single, shared, real-time view of a property transaction — updated the moment something changes, not the moment someone remembers to call. Verified listings and identity checks before anyone can list or make contact. A live chain tracker every party can see. Searches and paperwork you can prepare before you've even had an offer accepted. And a direct line to the other side of the sale that doesn't have to run through three different inboxes to get there.
Who We Are
Jennifer Sewell
CO-FOUNDER & PRACTISING SOLICITOR
Jennifer keeps the platform honest to what actually helps the people using it. Her focus is the day-to-day experience — making sure the thing that sounds good in a pitch also works for a buyer at 11pm, refreshing their inbox.
Gordon Sewell
CO-FOUNDER & PRACTISING SOLICITOR
Gordon's day job is advising on the property disputes CentreMove is built to prevent. He's seen, first-hand, exactly how a single unclear answer can unravel a transaction — and shaped the platform's approach to transparency around that experience.
Wayne Quinn
CO-FOUNDER
Wayne's career has been built on founding businesses in sectors he says had become resistant to change. He's described property as "the obvious next challenge" — an industry everyone complains about and almost nobody rebuilds.
What We're Actually Like
Internally, this team has been known to refer to itself as "No Bullshit Technologies." Nobody's putting that on the letterhead, but it's not far off the truth.
We'd rather tell you a feature isn't ready yet than pretend it is. We'd rather say "we don't know" than make something up. That instinct is the actual product, as much as the platform is — the platform is just what happens when you build software around it.
We didn't build this behind closed doors, and we're not going to finish it behind closed doors either. If something's clunky, tell us. If something's missing, tell us that too.
